I have always been interested in technology. Computers
are a main interest but I like electronics too. I guess I really
don't fall into the hard core computer geek category at all. I am
more a hobbyist. At one time I was on my way to total geekdome but
I found my way back. I still am really intrigued by electronics and
I am considering a career in electronic engineering. It all depends
on my willingness to put up with school. Right now I am in the military
and I work on electronics all the time. For more on that you should
go to my 69 page. |
| I took electronics for 3 years in high school. I also
took an electronics special projects class my senior year. In this
class I made an amplifier. I never did finish it but it wasn't totally
my fault. My teacher at the time told me to use a voltage divider
circuit but didn't tell me some of the characteristics of it that ended
up being detrimental to my project. I found out with my military
training what the reason for my failure was. |
| Besides electronics I took CAD(computer aided design) classes.
My senior year I had CAD Special Projects. For my senior project
I designed my electronics project on the computer. I almost finished
it but unfortunately the computer crashed a couple weeks before it was
finished. I didn't have it saved on disk either (oops). Doing
both projects is what really turned me on to the whole engineering idea. |
| I also took a class on computer repair in high school. I think
that because of this class I got out of the whole computer thing.
It got really old fixing computers. |
